Trust Objectives

Gargunnock Community Trust was established in 2006.

The Trust’s objectives are:

  • To provide, in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time activity to the public at large within the village of Gargunnock and the surrounding landward area so far a lying within the boundaries of the Gargunnock Community Council (“the Operating Area”) – with a view to improving their conditions of life.
  • To advance education and promote training programmes and opportunities for the benefit of the residents of the Operating Area particularly among young people and unemployed.
  • To promote and/or preserve the environment for the benefit of the general public.
  • To promote, establish and operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within the Operating Area”

The Trust is a Limited Company and a charity with Office Bearers, Iain Gulland, Convenor, John Craigen, Secretary, Edmond Mansion, Treasurer. Other Board members include Stuart Ogg, Douglas Coupethwaite, Douglas Johnston, Jane Bain, Mike Pizey, Geoff Peart, Steve Willet, Marilyn Willet, Elizabeth Mansion, Gillian Bruce, Jackie Campbell and Anne Dando.
