New Housing survey – in 2009 all households in the area were asked for their views about new housing in the village and there was a 33% response rate. The survey indicated support for a small amount of additional affordable housing.
Community Centre Housing application – based on the survey results, the community council organised successful opposition to Stirling Council’s proposal to build housing on the site adjacent to the community centre.
Transfer of Community Centre – the community council worked with the Village Trust to secure the transfer of the ownership of the community centre to the Trust and has also supported the improvements to the building.
Provost Park Cottage – the community council successfully opposed the demolition of Provost Park cottage and supported its redevelopment in a style sympathetic to the Conservation Area
Beeches Path upgrade – the community council secured Community Pride finance to fund the improvement of a stretch of the Beeches footpath to the north of Drummond Place
Road Safety – the community council continues to lobby Stirling Council for improvements to road safety in the village and on to the A811 and for measures to reduce car speeds in the village to levels appropriate for a residential area
