Private Connal Don

Connal Don was one of the four sons of John and Margaret Don who served during the war. Only two of the sons, William and Connal, survived. Connal was wounded during the war, news of his woods were reported in the Parish Magazine in Jan 1918 “Lance Corporal Tom Fish and Private Connal Don speak of their cure as being only a matter of time.”

Connal was a footman, and married to Helen Jane Welsh in 1912.
