Lands to be Sold
The Edinburgh Advertiser for 1779
Upon the 8th day of July next, betwixt 4 and 5 afternoon, there are to be sold by voluntary roup within the Exchange coffee house, Edinburgh, the following Lands and Estates in the lots after specified:
The Lands and Barony of GARGUNNOCK with the tiends thereof, and patronage of the kirk of Gargunnock, all holden to the crown, and giving two freehold qualifications in the Shire of Stirling. The estate lies within six miles of Stirling and 40 miles from Edinburgh. The free rent is L. 528 Sterling or thereby.
There is an excellent Mansion house and a convenient set of offices. Also a pigeon house and garden both remarkably well stocked.
