Patrick Gilchrist, a Covenanter in Gargunnock, Stirlingshire, captured after the Battle of Bothwell Bridge 22 June 1679, imprisoned in Edinburgh, banished to the plantations, transported from Leith on the “Crown of London”, master Thomas Teddico, 27 November 1679, shipwrecked and drowned off Orkney 10 December 1679

Another Gargunnock man, James Sands, was also on the Crown of London but survived the shipwreck.
