'Yonder in Gargunnock Veelage'

[Can be sung to the tune of 'Up the Lazy River']

          Yonder's ma Gargunnoock

          'Neath its waterfall

Memories o' it will niver, nivver pall

          Lived there very cosy

          Close oan thirty years

Saw ma share o' joys an' tears

          In this wee bit veelage

          Wi' its hills an' burns

          Sae peacefu' in the mornin'

          An' as evenin' turns

          Donner whiles wi' me

          Up an' doon its streets

There to greet its guid chiels

          As they shairly be

          Ging intae its ainly store

          Thit maist folks yase

          Tae buy a' thur provisions

          Fur go'on days an' days

          Chat fur sometime there

          Banter can be rare

          In this little veelage

          How happ'ly ye could bide

In a hame ye'll look oan wi' pride

          In this wee bit veelage

          Wi' its hills an' burns

          Sae peacefu' in the mornin'

          An' as evenin' turns

          Donner whiles wi' me

          Up an' doon its streets

There to greet its guid chiels

          As they shairly be

Ging intae its wee bit skil

          Thit maist kids yase

          Tak a yir children there,

Be guid fur them a'm shair

          Weil they'll a' jist grow

          Reap whit a' they sow
