For those interested in getting out an about, the climb up Gargunnock Hills is well worth the effort. A short climb can be taken by following the East Road, towards Stirling, and walking up the last road before leaving the village. You pass an old sawmill on your right.
About 1/3 of the way up the hill you come to an old Quarry. Towards the right is a Waterfall. This can look impressive when its flooding (which it does rather a lot here!) or in mid winter when it ices up. There are sheep in the hills, so dogs should either be well behaved, or on a lead.
The picture to the left is looking East towards Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.
