Love low carbon living in Gargunnock
Are you interested in saving some money by reducing your fuel bills? Would you like to assist in improving your local community? If so, Going Carbon Neutral Stirling (GCNS) is offering to help you to tackle these issues while reducing your carbon footprint.
GCNS, a programme of Keep Scotland Beautiful, is being funded by the Scottish government to help support Stirling residents to make easy, lifestyle changes which will reduce carbon emissions across all aspects of life including waste, energy, food, transport and heating.
Small, easy steps can make a big difference and GCNS are inviting all community groups in Gargunnock to get involved. From mother and toddler groups, to sport and over 50’s clubs, GCNS will work with your group to create a personalised action plan with one activity per month to do at home and/or at work. These plans, a little like Weight Watchers, are designed to be completely simple to start and fun to maintain. Actions could be swapping your light bulbs for energy savings ones which each save around £100 over their lifetime (GCNS can provide free bulbs to each person), or joining a lift sharing scheme (GCNS can show you how to do this). The first year’s activities are easy and will also save you money – so beat the credit crunch by cutting carbon!
