Gargunnock Ladies Triumph

Well done to Gargunnock’s WRI ladies! At the Doune and Dunblane Show last weekend they scooped all 6 of the available trophies!

Our WRI won the Silver Rose Bowl for the Institute with the most points beating Ruskie by 20 points. Anne Muirhead won the individual trophy, beating Marjorie Brown of Thornhill by just 2 points. Catherine Richardson won the special in the “Housewives” with her cherry cake, Anne Muirhead won again in the “handcrafts” with a crochet table centre  and Janet Iffla won the Special in Floral Art. Johan Mailer won the Pemberton Plate for the most points in the Handcraft classes.
