Playgroup is between 9 am and 11.30 am except on school holidays. Children between the age of 2 years 6 months and 5 years are welcome to attend.

Toddlers runs every Wednesday and Friday during school term time and is aimed at parents/carers and pre-school children from birth to 3 years.

Fees

Playgroup: fees for Playgroup are £4.24 per session for the first child and £2.25 for any subsequent child(ren). There is also a registration fee of £3 per family per term to cover SPPA registration.

Toddlers: fees for Toddlers are £1.50 per family per session. This is payable weekly. There is also a registration fee of £3 per family per term to cover SPPA registration.

Rotas

A rota operates for parents/carers to set out equipment and snacks. This involves bringing the food for the snack, preparing it and tidying it away at the end of the session. As we cater for several children we request that parents regualarly check the notice board for information about dietary preferences and allergies.

At Playgroup parents are also asked to help with the general running of the session including some setting up and taking down of equipment.

Notice Boards

The Notice Board at the entrance to the Main Hall will show details of any forthcoming events. The one in the hall will have general information as well as all the documentation we are bound to display.

Play Diary

Our Play Diary details the current themes and some of the planned activities and outings.

Please ensure that your child has a change of clothing as water play and other ‘accidents’ happen!

SPPA guidelines

We pay membership to the SPPA each year and follow guidelines on the following areas:

DISCIPLINE: there is no physical punishment of children.

SAFETY: children are seated during snack time and must ask to leave the table. No child is allowed to walk round the room when hot drinks are in the room.

A First Aid Kit is always available, as is a trained staff member. An accident book is kept and carers are informed of any incidents.

STAFF: checks are carried out on all playworkers.

Illness

In case of an infectious or any other illness, please inform one of the playleaders or a committee member at once.

If your child is absent we ask that you contact Playgroup (07840 363253) to inform the Playleaders. Playleaders are otherwise obliged to phone you to confirm the absence for health and safety reasons
