Progress on Lottery Application.

Action: Ian Gulland to update at next meeting..

Drop in Centre Heating.

LM reported that Alan Petrie, on receipt of a list of items, will submit a request to council for PAT testing on behalf of CC.  DJ recommended that CC pays for the PAT testing of its own equipment; user groups pay for their equipment.

DJ noted the meeting he will attend 29/10/07: Drop In Centre Comm to discuss renovations and contractors.

Action: L McCabe to co-ordinate groups’ lists.

DJ asked CC Committee present to consider his offer to supervise building work in 2008. Fee arrangement mechanism to be decided such that input while not being charged to the Centre could be registered as work in kind for matched funding purposes. DJ to check with accountant to ascertain the best way of doing this.

Action: Further discussion at next meeting.

Negotiations with Council.

Action: I Gulland to update at next meeting.

Architects Fees.

D Johnston to seek opinion of an independent QS regarding architects fee.

Action: LM to obtain contact details of QS.

150th Anniversary.

Those present at meeting recommended revisiting anniversary plans after Christmas concert at CC. ie. Jan 2008.

Christmas Concert.

JM confirmed having contacted contributors.  Talks with contributors continue.

DJ presented a draft plan that included press release, price review for 2007, catering, stage lighting and volunteers.

Action:  JM to organise press release. Committee to decide prices for 2007. JM to ask Farquhar’s to serve mulled wine (as in previous years).  DJ to ask HR for loan of stage lighting. Committee to organise volunteer helpers.

Treasurer’s Report

M Pizey confirmed £16,050 available at 25/10/07

M Pizey reminded all that receipts for expenses associated with Christmas concert must be submitted to Treasury for reimbursement.

Any Other Business

[a]  DJ confirmed a successful meeting with MSP Crawford. Bruce Crawford agreed to support Gargunnock’s move to Community Ownership.

[b] DJ reported that Alan Petrie had visited CC. Roof now coated with anti-climbing treatment. Wall repaired. Drop in Centre roof and rot above door are ongoing, and as yet unresolved.  MP drew attention to a missing slate on CC roof.

[c]  LM reported that Gala Committee agree, in principle, to have their crockery available for the use of all in the village. Meantime one or two concerns regarding its tracking and replacement.  LM will speak with Gala Committee.

[d]  LM reported telephone message received from Cllr Berrill: “All 3 councillors support some form of transfer of ownership of the community centre.  Lesley Malcolm has been informed of their support. Lesley will now organise a meeting with her seniors.”
