Circus is lead by Nick Rowell, of Gargunnock and The Junkateers, lead by Dave Series of Gartmore are back after their success at the Festival for another great evening of modern folk, rhythm and blues!

Nick says “Circus is an Edinburgh based band featuring myself and Stuart Malcolm writing the songs and playing guitar, Dave Series on lead guitar and Nelson Wright on harmonica and percussion. We play many gigs in Edinburgh to many drunken pub goers, showcasing new songs at open mike sessions and have recently developed a set of entirely original music. Many jam sessions and the occasional gig later, we continue down the modern folk/jazz vein”

Dave says “The Junkateers is a Glasgow-based group which focuses on groove, improvisation and original material. It features Craig Strain on electric bass and Andy McMillan on drums. We write our own material and the group is influenced by the likes of Scott Henderson, Larry Graham, the Meters and Maceo Parker.”
