The Gargunnock Festival

Gargunnock’s first Festival will take place between Friday 12^th and Sunday 21^st May 2006.  The event aims to involve as wide a cross section of local people as possible in raising funds for the refurbishment of the Gargunnock Community Centre.  Performers of all ages and abilities are invited to join us.

Buskers are invited to try their hand at busking outside the shop on Saturday 13^th May.  Sound amplification will be provided, if required.  Please contact Zoe Clayson (01786 860664) to agree your 10 minute time slot(s) between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

The tearoom will require performers of (soft) songs, sonnets or sonatas in the Blue Room of the Community Centre on Sundays 14^th and 21^st May.  Soloists or groups should each provide up to 30 minutes of music for the entertainment of tearoom customers between 10.00am and 4.00pm each Sunday.  A piano will be made available.  Maitland’s All Star Variety Night on 19^th May (starting at 7.30pm) will showcase the best of local talent to a live audience. Performers of songs, music, or perhaps even a recitation, will be asked to keep routines to maximum of 4 minutes.  Application forms are available from Helen Cumming on 860253.
