Show Rules

 

RULES OF THE SHOW

 

a) The ages of the animals to date from 1st January in the year in which they were produced, unless otherwise stated.

b) The judges cannot be selected from amongst the members of the club.

c) All stock must be the property of the exhibitor and be in possession within the district of the Society not later than 15th May preceding the show. If stock are shown by members contrary to the foregoing rules, the premiums gained will be withheld and, if already paid, the member    shall be obliged to return them to the Club.

d) The date of the Annual Show to be fixed a year in advance.

e) All protests to be lodged with the Secretary within seven days after the show and shall be adjudged by the Committee, whose decision is final.

f) The same judge cannot be appointed two years in succession.

g) No animal may be exhibited in more than one section, except horses and ponies over 15 years old, which may enter one section and the veteran class.

h) Any rider entering the showjumping classes must have paid their membership subscription and entered at least one other class.

Any member wilfully infringing the foregoing rules is liable to be expelled by a vote of the majority of the members present at the next meeting of the Club.

Children of members will be deemed to be covered by their parents’ membership up to the age of 18 years, when the children will then be required to pay a separate subscription for the membership of the Club.

All exhibitors should become members and liable to pay the annual subscription.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS AND THE PUBLIC AS TO THE CLUBS LIABILITY IN THE SHOWGROUND AND CAR PARK

The Club, its officers and servants, shall not be responsible to any persons whatsoever whilst upon the Club premises, or while entering or leaving the same, for any damage or loss, however caused to the property, or for an injury, fatal or otherwise, to any such persons.

 

The Club, its officers and servants, shall not be responsible for any accident, damage or loss, however caused, that may occur to any exhibitor or his servant or to any animal, article or property brought into the showground or while entering or leaving or being carried into or out of the said showground. Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may be done to, or occasioned by, or arising from any animal, article or property brought into the showground by him and he shall indemnify and hold harmless the Club from and against all actions, suits, expenses and claims on account of, or in respect of any such damage or injury which may be caused or occasioned.
